ABOUT

Geo Spectra Pty Ltd is an Australian-based mineral exploration company that primarily applies spectral remote sensing, utilising medium to high-resolution multispectral and hyperspectral satellite imagery data, along with deep learning, in mineral exploration. We specialise mainly in cutting-edge target generation for gold, copper, lithium, and critical elements, spanning regional to camp-scale prospectivity, as well as directional drilling at deposit scale.

At Geo Spectra, our use of multispectral satellite imagery data, including Aster, World View 3, NEO, and Sentinel-2, and hyperspectral satellite imagery data, such as EnMap and Prisma, combined with our deep understanding of mineral system concepts, enables us to map favourable hydrothermal alteration minerals and structures with unparalleled precision. The comprehensive view provided by our colour composite maps, which include alteration mineral type, alteration, iron oxides, and silica intensity/occurrence, sets a new standard for regional, district, and camp-scale target generation. We integrate the remote sensing results (mineral and structural maps) with other exploration data, such as geological maps, geophysical signatures, and geochemical anomalies, using various machine learning algorithms to generate favourable targets.

Geo Spectra is managed by Dr Hooshang Asadi Haroni, based in Australia, and Dr Marc Goossens, based in the Netherlands. Dr Asadi has 25 years of experience in spectral mineral remote sensing, geospatial data integration modelling, and various activities, including project management across multiple stages of gold, copper, lithium, and critical elements exploration. These experiences, combined with his earlier work at Rio Tinto as an exploration geologist and remote sensing and GIS analyst, led him to discover several gold,  copper and REE deposits, primarily using spectral remote sensing and geospatial modelling in the initial exploration stage.

Marc Goossens has about 30 years of experience in spectral remote sensing, mainly managing the Geosense company. His primary expertise lies in spectral mapping of alteration patterns, mineral target generation, and field spectroscopy, areas in which he has undertaken several projects for international companies, including Rio Tinto, BHP, Anglo-American, Newmont, and Stratex. He worked at Anglo-American and Newmont for several years. In early 2000, Marc found an opportunity in the growing UAV market when he founded URSUS Airborne and pioneered the use of drones for geoscience applications.

Geo Spectra utilises mineral systems, expert knowledge, and machine learning algorithms to classify and integrate exploration data for the generation of frilling targets. In the deposit scale, in the early exploration stages, we use machine-learning semi-supervised data classification and integration modelling to incorporate various exploration proxies (2D and 3D) and earlier drilling and trenching data (training data) to identify directional drilling targets. In the later stages of exploration, where drilling and trenching are conducted, we incorporate these data and other exploration proxies and costs to identify further optimal directional drillings, using machine learning supervised algorithms, to increase the tonnage and class of the ore.

Geo Spectra and its partner Tethyan Gold Exploration own a few epithermal gold, Cu-Au porphyry, and IOGC deposits, as well as a tank-leaching gold plant. We can invest in favorable gold deposits proposed by third parties, applying complementary exploration and developing them by setting up tank gold leaching plants with a capacity of 200 to 500 tons/day.
